Compliance With Ethical Standards for Marriage and Family Therapists in Mississippi
Denis K. Lane, Jr., Esq.- Center for Professional Studies
Mr. Lane is an attorney licensed in the Disctrict of Columbia and in the State of Colorado. He has a M.A. from the University of Oklahoma (1973) in counseling, and has specialized in mental health law. Mr. Lane has 30 years of experience, representing therapists and health care providers in malpractice suits and Licensing Board complaints, and consulting on legal and ethical issues. He has worked closely with the Colorado Association for Marriage and Family Therapy for the past 14 years, writing articles on law and ethics for the Association’s newsletter and presenting ethics workshops at both national and state conferences. He has been published in the AAMFT Family Journal, the AMHCA Advocate, and is author of The Legal and Ethical Guide for Mental Health Professionals (Bradford Publishing 2006).

Mastering the Therapeutic Work of Intergenerational Processes in Families
Terry Hargrave, PhD
Terry Hargrave, Ph.D. is nationally recognized for his pioneering work with intergenerational families. Dr. Hargrave has authored numerous professional articles and nine books including The New Contextual Therapy: Guiding the Power of Give and Take and The Essential Humility of Marriage: Honoring the Third Identity in Couple Therapy.
Dr. Hargrave has presented nationally and internationally on the concepts and processes of family and marriage restoration and is known for his clear and entertaining presentations. His work has been featured in several national magazines and newspapers, as well as ABC News 20/20, Good Morning America and CBS Early Morning. He has been selected as a national conference plenary speaker and as a Master's Series Therapist by the American Association for Marriage and Family Therapy.
He is a Professor of Marriage and Family Therapy at Fuller Seminary in Pasadena, California and is President of and in practice at Amarillo Family Institute, Inc. He and his wife Sharon have two children, Halley Anne and Peter.
